How FitDiary keeps track of your supplements
You add each supplement once, with its dose and time. After that you just tick it off.

Know whether you’ve taken it today
Today’s doses are listed by time: vitamin D at 8 am, magnesium at 9 pm. Tick one and it shows the time you took it. At the top you see how many you’ve taken so far.

Type what you took, like a meal
Write “I took a zinc and my omega 3” in the chat and you get a card with both. Tap “Add to diary”. If omega 3 is already on your list, its 8 am dose is ticked off.

A reminder for every dose
For each supplement, pick the days and up to 3 times a day. The reminder arrives at that time. If you’ve already ticked that dose, it doesn’t come.

Your day in one diary
Your diary has a “Supplements and medicines” section under meals and activity, with the time you took each one. Supplements don’t count towards your calories.
Your doctor sets the dose
FitDiary reminds you at the times you choose and keeps a record of what you took. It doesn’t recommend doses and doesn’t replace advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

Questions about tracking supplements
Is the supplement tracker free?
Yes. Your list of supplements and medications, ticking off doses and the reminders are all free in FitDiary, on iPhone and Android.
Can I take the same supplement more than once a day?
Yes, up to 3 times a day for each one. Choose whether you take it every day or only on certain days of the week.
Do reminders work without internet?
Yes. Reminders are scheduled on your phone, so they go off at their time even when you’re offline. Just allow notifications for FitDiary.
What if I’ve already taken it?
Tick the dose in the app or tell the chat you took it. A dose you’ve ticked doesn’t get a reminder.
Will the app tell me how much to take?
No. You set the dose and time with your doctor. FitDiary reminds you at the times you chose and records what you took.
Do supplements count towards my calories?
No. You see them in your diary next to meals, water and workouts, but they don’t add to calories or macros. Log protein powder as a food, because it has calories.
Can I track medicines too?
Yes. When you add one, choose whether it’s a supplement or a medicine. Both get the same list, ticks and reminders.
